Hotel is undergoing remodeling. Was unable to get connected to the internet via their wireless connection. Tried both in room and in the lobby.

Van will drive to downtown Charlottesville, near the University of Virginia, where there are numerous bars and restaurants. The college campus is nice for a walk or jog.

For you fitness buffs, the Golds Gym across the street lets you workout for free with your Holiday Inn key. It's an awesome gym with everything you can imagine, including a rock climbing wall.

One of those stories, I arrived without my bag (a passenger claimed it at the valet cart and didn't return it until the next day!!). The front desk clerk and the van driver were great. They checked on the closing times of the nearest shops and drove me to Wal-Mart to buy a few neccessities. The construction is almost finished. However, despite the hours given in the hotel directory, the cafe is closed for lunch. As usual, I went to Cane's instead. They're always fast, clean and friendly; especially for fast food. Decent chicken for the price.
